Roussillon PDZA agri-food development

Agroenvironnement (PDZA Roussillon – 2022-2024)

What is it?

Since 2022, the Roussillon RCM and OBV SCABRIC have been working together to implement the actions of its Plan de développement de la zone agricole en lien avec l’agroenvironnement (PDZA). Actions 21 and 22 of the Roussillon MRC’s PDZA encourage farmers to adopt agricultural practices that promote soil, water and biodiversity quality.

What do we do?

To implement these actions, the OBV SCABRIC and the Roussillon RCM host an annual information and awareness session on agri-environmental best practices. The OBV SCABRIC also produces an annual report detailing the subsidies available to producers and the agri-environmental actions that have been undertaken on the territory.

Past editions:

2023-2024

The second edition of the Journée Agroenvironnement was held in conjunction with the États généraux de l’eau conference on February 13, 2024. The theme of the conference was ” L’eau et les changements climatiques, ça touche tout le monde! ” A dedicated room was dedicated to conferences on adapting to climate change in agriculture and adopting farming practices that protect water resources.
