Mark out the Châteauguay Riverfront Trail
What is it?
We have been providing public access to the Châteauguay River for non-motorized boats in the Haut-Saint-Laurent region since 2002. In 2017, this access was renewed and extended to include public accesses in the Beauharnois-Salaberry and Roussillon RCMs, creating the Châteauguay Riverfront Trail, funded by the Government of Canada.
What do we do?
The year 2023 marked the start of signage work on the Châteauguay Riverfront Trail. The trail will be marked out by the OBV SCABRIC and its partners, including the Route bleue en Montérégie collaborators Loisir et sport Montérégie, the Haut-Saint-Laurent ZIP committee and Canot-Kayak Québec.
OBV SCABRIC is responsible for:
- Submitting navigable routes to the Route Bleue team;
- Ensuring cooperation with riverside municipalities;
- Supervising the installation of Route bleue signage.
