One of the strengths of the OBV SCABRIC team is its multidisciplinary approach and expertise. You can count on our team to understand a situation using a comprehensive vision from a variety of angles. The work of the OBV SCABRIC’s team enables us to turn into reality the orientations and priorities developed with the organization’s board of directors, round table and partner water stakeholders.

Geneviève Audet, M. Sc. Env. biologist

General Manager

Ms. Audet holds a bachelor’s degree in biology and a master’s degree in environmental sciences with a specialization in environmental education from the Université du Québec à Montréal. She has been working for the OBV SCABRIC since 2002. She began her career as an Environmental Officer. In 2021, she was promoted to Assistant Director – Project Coordination, then became General Manager in 2023.

Marie-Claudette Lapointe

Administrative Assistant

With a degree in administration from the Cégep de Matane, Ms. Lapointe has been administrative assistant to the OBV SCABRIC team since June 20, 2007, cumulating 16 years of service. Although she had no prior knowledge of watersheds or water management, her position has given her the opportunity to delve deeper into these fields. She is now convinced that every citizen must play an active role in water conservation.

Christophe Gravel, B. Sc. A.

Project Manager in regional development

Christophe holds a bachelor’s degree in geography from the Université du Québec à Montréal, and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in land use planning and geographic information systems. With hands-on experience in field data collection and analysis from various research projects and internships focused on land use planning and wetland and water conservation, he became a member of the OBV SCABRIC team in 2021.

Ariane Cyr, géographe, M. Env.

Coordonnatrice du plan directeur de l'eau

Ariane est diplômée en géographie environnementale de l’Université de Montréal et a complété un microprogramme de 2e cycle en environnement ainsi qu’une maîtrise en gestion de l’environnement de l’Université de Sherbrooke. Bien qu’elle ait initialement axé sa formation sur la gestion des matières résiduelles, sa passion pour les sports nautiques l’a naturellement orientée vers la conservation des milieux aquatiques du Québec.

Avec son expérience en tant que coordonnatrice du plan directeur de l’eau (PDE) en Mauricie (BVSM, 2019-2021), elle assume désormais ce rôle au sein de l’OBV SCABRIC. Ses missions clés englobent la révision collaborative du plan directeur de l’eau, la conception d’une stratégie de mobilisation et la promotion de la sensibilisation citoyenne.

Destina Saad, M. Sc. env.

Agro-environmental Project Manager

Destina Saad holds a degree in agronomy from Lebanon and a Master’s in Environmental Sciences from the Université du Québec. Her passion for environmental sciences stems from her interest in contemporary ecological challenges, particularly ecosystem upheavals and major environmental transformations. Working with agricultural producers and municipalities monitoring the sanitary installations of isolated residences on the territory will undeniably enrich her expertise and fuel her passion for this sector.

Sara Chartier, M. Sc. biology

Environmental Project Manager

With a B.Sc. in Environmental Biology from McGill University and an M.Sc. in Biology from the University of Northern British Columbia, Sara devoted her master’s degree to studying the emergence and spread of a new song variant in white-throated sparrows. Following this, she had the opportunity to work as a stewardship intern and bioecology technician, enriching her understanding of the flora, fauna, natural habitats and environmental challenges specific to southern Quebec. Ms. Chartier joined the SCABRIC OBV team in September 2022.

Priscille Ahossi, M.Sc. Water

Water Master Plan Project Manager

Priscille holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology and water purification, as well as a master’s degree in water science from the Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique, and has been working for OBV SCABRIC since 2023 as a project manager for the water master plan.

Rihab Saadouni, M.Sc. Ecology, Geomatics

Environmental Project Manager

She also has a master’s degree in Geographic Information Systems from France, and a master’s degree in Ecology from the Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue. Her expertise lies in the processing of digital satellite and drone images, and she also has solid experience in spatial modeling, dynamics simulation, database management and spatial programming. She joined the OBV SCABRIC team in 2023 and has been involved in a number of projects focused on protecting drinking water sources, optimizing water resource management and protecting threatened aquatic species.

Wael Hadded

Agri-environmental Project Manager

Wael Hadded holds a professional master’s degree in Agronomic Sciences in Tunisia, and began his career as an Agricultural Technician with the Tunisian Ministry of Agriculture in 2013. With solid expertise in organic and sustainable agriculture extension and consultancy, he has developed these skills through direct interaction with producers. His passion for preserving the environment led him to join the OBV SCABRIC team, where he was promoted to agri-environmental project manager in December 2023. With his experience and commitment, Wael plays an essential role in the implementation of projects aimed at promoting sustainable agricultural practices that respect the environment.

Laure-Anne Gervais

Awareness Officer

Laure-Anne Gervais is a bachelor’s student in environmental geography at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières. With OBV SCABRIC since the summer of 2024, she holds the position of awareness officer and supports the project managers in their work. A native of the region, she has a good knowledge of the territory and its actors.
