What is the project goal?
In 2024, the Haut-Saint-Laurent (HSL) Regional County Municipality (MRC) received complaints from citizens of the municipality of Godmanchester concerned about the quality of their well water, specifically in the vicinity of New Erin Road and the Dewitt Creek esker area.
The MRC HSL mandated the OBV SCABRIC to assess the quality of groundwater in the targeted area, particularly with regard to the presence of PFAS.
What do we do?
OBV SCABRIC then received the mandate to organize and carry out a sampling and analysis campaign of drinking water sources in the territory of the municipality of Godmanchester, more particularly on New Erin Road and in the area near the esker of Dewitt Creek.
OBV SCABRIC is responsible for:
- To draw up a preliminary picture of groundwater quality in the territory of the municipality of Godmanchester in and around the Dewitt Creek esker.
- Formulate recommendations to improve integrated water management practices in the territory of the MRC HSL.
